The first time we tried poke, we said “Wow!”
Dubbed by some as the “king of island foods,” this delicious combination of fresh fish and natural ingredients blew our minds for its simplicity and perfect complement of distinct flavors. It was as if we had just discovered the impossible: a healthy comfort food. Poke, pronounced “POH-keh”, is the Hawaiian word for “to slice” and has been a staple of Hawaiian cuisine for centuries. It has grown to more than just a Hawaiian food and is becoming a global phenomenon. While its exact origins are up for debate, poke comes in many forms and has been influenced by many flavors over the years. Our mission is to take the best of what we’ve experienced and deliver a fresh, sustainable, and healthy product that both aficionados and new-comers can enjoy. We also strive to create exciting bold flavors which are both familiar and innovative. It is our desire to share this wonderful food with you that led us creating Kamikaze Poke. It is the culmination of countless hours of hard work and the relentless pursuit of perfection. The natural sweetness and texture of sashimi grade fish felt like a perfect complement for all wonderful natural flavors of the other ingredients.
